The Role

We have an exciting career opportunity for an Outside Sales Executive to join our growing DSI team! As the Outside Sales Executive, you will be a dynamic contributor to the sales team for one of the most successful technology solutions providers in the nation. This role is remote /hybrid.

The Outside Sales Executive is responsible for developing and increasing the DoD and Civilian federal market segment. The great thing about DISYS Solutions, Inc. (DSI) is that there is no assigned territory - meaning whatever contacts and segments you have built – is yours!! With many other SEWP V and NIH contract holders, the Sales Executives are segmented into one agency, which is already saturated. That is not the case with DSI – the market is wide open, and earnings potential is much better than what you are accustomed to in your current company!!

The Outside Sales Executive will identify and qualify opportunities, meet and present to prospective clients, and essentially own the entire sales cycle.  The sales focus will be Cisco and other OEMs (HPE, NetApp, Crestron, Microsoft Office 365, Azure, VMware, Dell, Palo Alto, and others.  The candidate must be able to implement a strategic, solution-oriented approach to create interest in our unique value and build market position by identifying, developing, defining, negotiating, and establishing business relationships.

Your Responsibilities   
  • Develop and implement a sales plan to achieve sales target
  • Proactively gain new business through professional networking and by devising a creative, effective sales approach with solutions to find and close federal sales opportunities
  • Develop new market initiatives, assess new markets, and analyze business opportunities
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing customers on a daily basis
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Maintain confidentiality of information processed as appropriate
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Able to exchange information clearly and concisely: present ideas and report facts and other information
  • Manage your own workflow and resolve questions and problems with the manager

What You Need for this Role
  • 5+ years of experience in a Field Sales Executive role within the federal sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field OR an equivalent combination of formal education, training and directly related progressive job experience
  • Established contacts in the DOD and/or Civilian federal sector space (Civilian and/or DOD)
  • Prior experience selling under NASA SEWP, ESCIII, Air Force NETCENTS, GSA, and other GWAC federal contracts
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Government procurement processes and trends
  • Ability to understand and interpret the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
  • Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to take initiative and perform independent initial problem solving; be resourceful, prioritize, and organize daily activities; attention to detail is a must
  • Work under pressure against tight deadlines; assertiveness is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Results-driven, detail oriented, and passionate
  • Effective decision-making and time-management skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality in all aspects of conducting business
